Chulucanas Low Bowl

Hand-thrown by artisan potters in Chulucanas, Peru, our Chulucanas Low Bowl showcases the region’s centuries-old traditions through its smooth contours, natural slips, and beautifully burnished finish. Each Chulucanas piece is uniquely finished using traditional smoking techniques with mango leaves to create rich, chocolate-brown tones with subtle variations in color and sheen. Crafted in Peru from locally sourced terracotta clay harvested near the village of Chulucanas along the Ecuadorian border. Hand-thrown, painted with natural slips, and polished with smooth stones by artisan partners using techniques passed down through generations. Crafted for decorative styling only and not intended to hold liquids. Handcrafted by artisan partners, the batch firing and traditional kiln-smoking techniques used ensure every piece features its own unique character, tonal variation, and finish.
