Gibson USA Les Paul Supreme - Wine Red

The name says everything. Not Standard, not Custom — Supreme. The Gibson Les Paul Supreme arrives as the pinnacle of the modern production Les Paul lineup, and from the moment you see the AAA figured maple top glowing under a Wine Red gloss nitrocellulose finish with gold hardware catching the light, the Interstellar Tone Traveler can confirm that it earns every syllable of that designation. This is Gibson taking the Les Paul formula — mahogany body, maple top, set neck, dual humbuckers — and refusing to leave a single detail unexamined. The Ultra-Modern Weight Relief brings the mahogany body in at a comfortable 8 lbs 7 oz without sacrificing the warmth and sustain that defines the platform. The modern contoured heel opens up the upper register in a way that traditional Les Paul construction never could. The ebony fingerboard with compound 10"-16" radius and Super Split Block mother-of-pearl inlays is as visually spectacular as it is tactilely superior — each block catching light with a complexity that simpler inlay patterns can't approach. And the 1940s-inspired mother-of-pearl headstock inlay, pulled from the Gibson archives and never before seen on a production instrument, gives this guitar a historical resonance that feels genuinely earned. The electronics package is where the Supreme separates itself from every other Les Paul at any price point below Custom Shop. Burstbucker Pro in the neck and Burstbucker Pro Plus in the bridge deliver the warm, harmonically rich PAF-inspired voice that has made these pickups a studio and stage standard — and then four push/pull controls unlock an entire universe beyond that foundation. Coil-tap on both volume controls splits the humbuckers for glassy single-coil textures. Pure Bypass on the tone controls removes all capacitors from the circuit for maximum signal transparency. Phase switching creates out-of-phase pickup combinations that add chimey, hollow tonal colors unavailable anywhere else in the Les Paul's traditional palette. Locking Grover Keystone tuners, gold pickup covers, and a SlimTaper neck profile complete a guitar that plays as fast and feels as refined as it looks. The Supreme is not a guitar that asks you to compromise on anything.
