Cold/Hot Gel Beaded Eye Mask FOR COLD THERAPY: 1.Place compress in bag provided and lay flat in freezer for at least 2 hours. 2.Remove compress from freezer and test compress temperature for personal comfort level. If temperature is acceptable, apply to the affected area and secure in place with strap. Do not wrap too tightly. 3.Monitor skin during application to avoid frostbite. 4.Place in bag provided and store in freezer for future cold therapy use. NOTE: DO NOT apply cold therapy for more than 20 minutes consecutively. FOR HEAT THERAPY (Based on a 1200-watt microwave): 1.Clean microwave before use. 2.Compress must be at room temperature before microwave use. 3.Place gel compress in the center of microwave. 4.Heat at full power for 20 seconds. 5.Knead contents to distribute heat. Check for desired temperature (temperature will continue to rise slightly). If compress is too hot, let cool until temperature is acceptable. 6.If additional heat is desired, return to microwave and heat in 5-seconds increments. Do not exceed total heating time of 30 seconds. Excessive heating may cause compress to rupture and leak. 7.Store at room temperature for future hot therapy use.
