ABOVE THE LINE LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT & EMERGENT READING SERIES - (PACK 1)

Comprehension is the reason we read. Children can and need to understand this at an early age. Pretend reading or playing at reading is a comprehension activity and key in a child's early learning experiences. Above the Line - Language Development & Emergent Reading Series is essential in building strong foundations in reading. Each leveled book in this series provide opportunities for students to gain control over book handling skills and print concepts, develop oral (expressive) and aural (receptive) language, develop important cognitive concepts, and learn critical social and emotional interactions. As children build their skillfulness in these foundational reading skills, they also build the confidence and ability needed to tackle reading below the line—letters, sounds, and words.
